LA Clippers President of Business Operations and Hamilton College Alumna to Deliver Keynote Address – Oneida Dispatch


Clinton, NY – Gillian Zucker, president of business operations for the NBA’s LA Clippers and a 1990 Hamilton College graduate, will deliver Hamilton’s 2022 kickoff speech and receive an honorary degree on Sunday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. in the Margaret Bundy Scott’s Country House.

In addition to Zucker, honorary degrees will be awarded to former LaGuardia Community College president Gail Mellow and Elaine Weiss, author of the critically acclaimed book The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote, and a graduate in 1973 from Kirkland College, a college that merged with Hamilton in 1978.

Mellow will deliver the Baccalaureate talk on Saturday, May 21, at 3 p.m. at Scott Field House. A class of 504 students are expected to receive a bachelor’s degree at the launch ceremony in Hamilton. Guests are welcome to attend both ceremonies, but must be vaccinated and fortified against COVID-19.

As president of business operations for the LA Clippers, Zucker leads all business functions for the Clippers as well as the Forum, the Agua Caliente Clippers and the development of Intuit Dome, the future home of the Clippers which will open for the 2024-25 NBA season. . .

Zucker secured nearly $1 billion in partnership revenue for the team and Intuit Dome around the grand opening of the new arena, while driving industry-leading innovations and advancements in fan experience and sustainability . She also led the transformation of the Clippers’ arena experience and brand positioning, led substantial growth in ticketing, partnership and broadcast revenue, and guided the development of Clippers CourtVision, which utilizes the machine learning and artificial intelligence to transform the game viewing experience.

Zucker has been honored by Los Angeles Magazine as one of the 10 Wonder Women Changing LA, by CSQ Magazine as a Visionary in Sports and Entertainment, and by United Nation’s Women LA as a Champion of Change. She has also been named Los Angeles Business Journal Executive of the Year, All-Star by VenuesNow, and Top Woman in Media by Cynopsis, and has been a multiple-year member of the LA Business Journal’s LA500, a list of the most LA influencers

Zucker sits on the board of the Young Presidents Organization and the board of global investment bank Houlihan Lokey.
